The theme of this mosaic was a combination of culture, athleticisim and sustainability. The inspiration for the mosaic was drawn from several drawing assignments relating to the subject. Elements from this mosaic were taken directly from the students' drawings, based on suggestions from the student-run mosaic committee. Hoopes then prepared several possible design options, which were evaluated by the school pricipal, the teachers, the students and the community coordinator. The mosaic now hangs on the side of the school.
